Fisheries monitoring

As fish stock composition surveying is often considered a sine qua non in the evaluation of underwater environment status, we are regularly called upon as part of various projects (monitoring, impact surveys):

  • Electric fishing (as per FOEN modular stepwise procedures
  • Inventories/underwater mapping (day and night)
  • Spawning ground mapping
  • Post-pollution fish stock damage assessment
  • Inventories through net and echosounders
  • Fish pass design

The issue of fish stock migration resulting form hydraulic power exploitation (diminished flows, surge, etc) is at the heart of the current debate on so-called “green” energy. Biol’Eau Sàrl is here to advise and help with the design of fish passes.
